“El Dudu” Caverns (2 tanks)
Approximately two hours from Sosua, on the way to Cabrera, hides one of the Dominican Republic’s many natural wonders. The “El Dudu” Caverns are accessible through a small fresh water lake and can be seen in crystal clear conditions year round due to it’s protected location. Unique species of fresh water fish and shrimp play host as you drop down to about 10 meters to the mouth of the cave system. It is here that you will begin to feel that you are somewhere quite special. The low lighted ambiance of the caverns delivers a sense of mystery and new adventure. Fresh air pockets line the ceiling and the possibility to surface inside and take a look around exists. This trip is a must do for any level of diver, including cave specialists since the system develops from caverns into proper caves for the more experienced techies! Put this safari on your “to dive” list and bring home the feeling that you truly did something special.

Laguna Gri Gri (2 tanks)
1.5 hours east of Sosua nestled inside the city of Rio San Juan is a mangrove outlet to the sea. It is here you begin your day on the water, gently motoring through the brackish swamps that are well known for their sea bird populations. Waiting outside of the swamp are the clear blue waters of the Atlantic which feature some great reef systems and some beautiful coastline. A great place for divers and snorkelers alike!

Punta Rusia (2-3 tanks or spend a few nights!)
If we were to have a “flagship” destination this would be it! Virgin reefs, over 80 different kinds of stunning coral and abundant reef life. 2.5 hours towards the Haitian border, hidden behind the mountains is the small Dominican Village of Punta Rusia. Quite, quaint and pristine; turquoise waters as far as you can see; your days are spent doing world class diving and/or snorkelling and your nights are spent glaring up at a starry sky unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
